Post Office by Charles Bukowski

I bought Post Office a few years ago for my boyfriend for Christmas, and thought I’d give it a go myself.

Post Office by Charles Bukowski

It’s a novel about a drop-out who ends up spending most of his working life slogging away in the American postal system. Initialy he’s working as a mail-man, delivering the post, then he leaves for a bit, then he’s back sorting the post.

We also find out about his loves and losses, and how life is hard when you’re up and working through the night.

It’s sold as a funny novel, have to say I don’t entirely agree with that. It’s interesting and a good read, but it didn’t even come close to making me laugh.
