Bleeding London by Geoff Nicholson

Bleeding London by Geoff NicholsonI read Bleeding London by Geoff Nicholson many years ago – but it’s a great book. One I really must put on my re-read list.

A very darkly funny novel – and obsessed about London. I read it around the same time I read London Fields by Martin Amis – another London centric novel.

If you like Amis, Irvine Welsh, etc you’ll enjoy this book. It tells about 2 men. Mick Walton a hard-man who travels to London to get revenge for his girlfriend’s rape. And Stuart London (shame about the name!) who sets out to walk every street of the city.

It was also shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize.
