Amazon says “lending” to be available on Kindle

Interesting announcement on amazon.com today – they’re getting ready to allow kindle users to “lend” their kindle books to other kindle users.

Seems like you’ll be able to lend a book for 14 days, during which time you won’t be able to access it.

But not all books will be available – got to agree licensing with the publishers first.

Also, not 100% clear if they’re doing it for the uk or not…

Should be more news later in the year.

If you’ve not yet sussed out the kindle it’s well worth a look. I’d recommend the wireless verion, £40 cheaper than the always one version – and you don’t pay for receiving the docs you send to yourself easier. THat’s right you can email word docs, rich text files, PDFs and more to your kindle to read later!

  1. Strange this post is totaly unrelated to what I was searching google for, but it was listed on the first page. I guess your doing something right if Google likes you enough to put you on the first page of a non related search.
